Egg Bowl USM vs. UAB

Apparently the Egg Bowl will be the same time as USM vs. UAB; which is AWFUL. It means Roberts Stadium will be a ghost-town. Not the attendance would have been that good anyway, but still.

I think that's the problem. Fewer people will care and therefore, fewer will be at Roberts Stadium because of the Egg Bowl time. It's the same thing that happens to La. Tech/Lafayette/Monroe attendance when LSU has a big game at the same time.

If you are a Golden Eagle, you show up. You don't sit here and whine about scenarios you have no control over that are weeks away.

It was going to be a sad sight regardless. The performance at homecoming killed any casual fan's desire to attend until next year. At least.

I've been a die hard fan, but I'm checking out, see you next season. I'm not torturing myself by attending or watching the last football event of the season (we'd actually have to be competitive to call it a game).
