Over the weekend a very special family member was called home. My mother's cousin Nell Breland (Big Mama Nell to me and my kids) was more or less a second mother to me. She kept me before I started school and has remained a very important person in my life and in the lives of my children.
She lost her battle with ALS on Friday night. Services are this afternoon and tomorrow. We'll be back to full coverage as soon as possible.
