We all know how fickle our fans are and when bad weather rears its ugly head, Eagle fans stay home more than any fan base I know. This game was going to be our highest attended game this year, maybe 26-27 K. Now we'll be lucky if we have 13-14 K. That will put a huge dent in our overall attendance for the year.
I don't see any way we can make up the loss of attendance unless we're 5-0 through September and that is highly unlikely, as we'll have to beat a good App State on the road and pull off the upset of the year at Auburn. More than likely, we'll be 3-2 coming back home on 10/13 to play North Texas. But depending on how the offense looks, we could be 2-3. Neither of those results will bring a crowd of 25-26 K to the Rock for North Texas.
