To be fair, Griggs was sidelined with an injury to a throwing hand finger for the second scrimmage. Also, these are partial stats from the first scrimmage on August 12th : (No mention of Marcelo Rodriguez's performance if he got reps.)

The battle between a pair of Southern Miss quarterbacks continued as junior Kwadra Griggs tallied 21-of-26 passing for 217 yards to go along with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Fellow signal caller, sophomore Keon Howard, added a 11-for-23 day for 155 yards to go along with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Then you have Marcelo Rodriguez's performance with reps in the second scrimmage on August 20th :

What we don't know from those stats is who was going against the 1 vs 2s That can make the head to head apples and oranges.

I'm feeling like we will be pleasantly surprised. USM 27-7, attendance 27,700.
