Dozier powers Twins

By now, highlights have been shown repeatedly on Sportscenter, but in case you missed it, former Eagle great, Brian Dozier, hit a walk off two run HR last night with two outs in the 11th inning to power the Twins past the Marlins 6-4. This was Dozier's third career game ending home run, having accomplished the feat twice last season, against the Orioles and Tigers. I'm sure these accomplishments have been posted on BGN before, but they're worthy of mentioning again. During the 2014 campaign, he became only the 13th second baseman in MLB history to produce a 20/20 season ... home runs/stolen bases. And, of course, last summer, he became only the 16th player in major league history to homer in his first All-Star Game at-bat, driving a pitch from Pirates closer Mark Melancon over the wall. A man of faith and an ambassador for USM baseball!

OT: Brock Turner Case Causes Online Harrassment Toward USM Alum

It's been a long time since I started a thread at all on here, but I figured with all the stuff here and USM support, it'd be a good idea to post this.

The alum is currently a professor at Xavier in Ohio. A friend of Brock Turner with the very same name wrote a letter about Brock to the media, and our alum received a lot of harsh comments between Facebook and Twitter. Hopefully this situation doesn't happen to any fellow alumni in the future. Link below.

OT: Home Inspection

All You Locals,

I posted a few weeks ago here about the availability of possible rental housing. Since then a potential purchase opportunity has bubbled up that we're exploring.

The realtor provided the following list of Home Inspectors. If any of you can vouch for or against any particular ones on this list, I'd greatly appreciate your input.

1. Mike Devereaux
2. Jason Brown
3. Johnny Downing
4. Ben Berteau
5. Kris Morrell
6. Steven Walker
7. Keith Yawn

Thanks,
Tim

Cimaglia decommits

Per his Twitter account, Franklin, TN placekicker, Brent Cimaglia, has decommitted from USM switching to the in-state Vols. I guess it's better now than on the first Wednesday in February. I wish they would reverse terminology related to recruiting ... seems like a "statement of intent" would occur prior to NSD, while a "letter of commitment" would be the binding document that brings players to campus!
