Opposing band half-time shows re-instated at LSU

The LSU Athletic Department, the LSU Band and the LSU Office of Risk Management engaged in a collaborative effort to restore the halftime pageantry provided by visiting bans while insuring a safe environment for all.

The plan involves re-configuring seating areas in the South End Zone so that visiting bands may take a more direct route to the field, reducing the congestion and safety hazards created by previous field entry methods.

Tight Ends Info

Talked to Tight Ends Coach Desmond Lindsey.... He is very excited about the tight ends. He said we were good last year but two of our best did not play last year; Julian Allen and Jay'Shawn Washington. I asked if they were better receiving or blocking... he said both could do both. He said they will run lots of sets utilizing that tight end depth. He also stated that Ricky Parks is in his natural position back at tight end.

JUCO guard signs with the Golden Eagles

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss basketball coach Doc Sadler announced Monday the signing of junior college standout Marcus Cooper of Northeastern (Colo.) Junior College to the program for the 2016-17 season.

The 6-foot-3, 195 lb., guard from Van Nuys, Calif., scored 16.4 points, while adding 1.8 assists for coach Eddie Trenkle last season. Cooper converted 52.8 percent of his shots from the floor, 39.5 from 3-point range and 80.7 percent from the line.
