Changes May Be Coming To Pete Taylor Park

Head Coach Scott Berry made it perfectly clear that he wants to see some changes at Pete Taylor Park next season. He stated, since the season has ended, that talks of bringing a Artificial/Synthetic playing surface to Pete Taylor Park has picked up. Let's take a look at the ways a new playing surface would benefit the Southern Miss Baseball Program moving forward.

UAB game week practice report: Eagles working to break the streak vs. UAB

The Golden Eagle coaches and players know how important this game is if they want to have any chance of representing the CUSA West in the conference championship game. They also know that UAB and Bill Clark have recently owned Southern Miss in one of the better rivalries in all of CUSA. Southern Miss has already been able to get one monkey off their back beating North Texas 45-27 at The Rock earlier this season. Just like this game, Southern Miss was coming off of a by week before they defeated the Mean Green.

11/5 Practice Tidbits....

I really liked the emotion and tempo of practice yesterday. It seems that the Eagles are really getting after it this week. I talked to a few players and it seems that the 2nd bye week was good for this group. Jack looks like he did the week they played UNT. The Eagles are probably as healthy as they have been all season. Both sides of the ball looked pretty good. More to come later with interviews from Abraham and D. Harris.....

Recruiting Update....

Yesterday in the Presser, Hop stated that this signing class would be smaller than the last 2. I believe it will be anywhere from 17-19 due to graduation and players leaving. Eagles are at 10 commitments now and I look for about 3 or 4 more before the first signing period, saving 4 or 5 scholarships for the second signing period. They want to leave a few open for those who fall through the cracks or for some they can flip.

So sick

Of the love fest for Memphis, SMU, Tulane, UCF. I guess whoever has a good year in the next 40 years is so much better than us. Their leadership, fan base, etc.

Houston is back down, ECU & Tulsa haven’t put a good product on the field in years. All we have to do is dominate where we are at. The rest will literally takes care of itself. SMTTT!!

If we have a quality team like Monken’s last year we can literally compete & win against every team mentioned above. It can and will happen again.
