This loss is easy to understand....

Just like in the conference tournament and in postseasons past, RF is curse for USM baseball, can't drop a can of corn like that late. Eagles got runners on base and out hit FSU 9-7 just 3 of those 7 hits were of the dinger variety. Eagles will have to regroup or it is 2 and a BBQ. At least Walker is pitching tomorrow. Eagles will hopefully get another shot at FSU.

Oxford Regional Opponent Breakdown

Last Saturday was a long, tough day for the young Southern Miss baseball club. In fact, it was one of the tougher days of postseason baseball in recent memory since Scott Berry took over the reins of the program from Corky Palmer. Even still, the Golden Eagles have everything in front of them. Their aim is to move on quickly to gear up for a run in the NCAA tournament.
