I haven't seen anything lately about the oh so many departures from the softball team. One is it because of lack of playing time or is it a problem with the coach? Was he qualified to coach this team? Did we hire a new coach or going to roll the dice and hope we have a team left to finish the season next year.

This was a first class event all the way around. Thanks to everyone who organized it and the sponsors! I had never been to the Country Club of Jackson before and I was impressed with it. The event was well attended. I heard there were 250 signups. The entire football coaching staff attended and a lot of the athletic department. I had watched a Will Hall speech previously on youtube so I had an idea of what he was going to say. I was very impressed with the presentation he put on.

I didn't know much about Will Hall before he was hired as Southern Miss's football coach. When his name came up I realized he was the OC at Tulane and I knew they had dominated us twice in a year's time. I have liked the things he has done since he took over as coach. He obviously has learned from being a head coach and watching the other coaches he has worked with. He has a well thought out plan for everything including the uniforms. I don't know how many wins this team will have this season but I think they will be well prepared and play hard. I think we have the right coach now. I will support the team as best I can. I'm glad to see ticket sales are going well.

For those that say that we should pump the brakes, I understand. the last couple of years have been rough. But try to find some optimism.

So far 6 Southern Miss CUSA games have been announced with dates, 4 non-conference games have been announced with dates, and 2 non-conference games have been announced without a date set yet.

Mo Arnold, pending transfer, is IMO the best on-ball defender on the team. He was shutting down some of the team's best guards.

Jaakson has been knocking down 3's at a high clip.

They will not be renewing their TV deal in 2025 with Big 12. Which means they will move to SEC then. Will be fun to see what happens in next 2-3 years.

She was in a minor automobile accident yesterday and is sore. She is such a trooper and does so much to help me and is incredible. Thank God it was minor and not major and She is OK.

I just found out Jasper Johnson aka Big Smooth has died. I don’t know the details, just letting you all know.
