Saturday Scrimmage Set-Up

They will run the scrimmage like this:

They will come out and go "good on good"
This means that #1's will go against each other and #2's will go against each other and #3's

They will do punt team

Then repeat "good on good"

Then punt team again.

Then goaline "good on good"

Everyone will get a chance to see who is playing where and what depth may look like heading into Fall.

Spring scrimmage 3/26 update...

Here are a few things noticed at the scrimmage:

1. Ty Keys had the best day of all QB's. He looks more comfortable than last season. Is he better? Perhaps, but he still needs to grow as a QB.

2. The 2 best passes of the day went to Brownlee on a crossing route and TD Pass from Keyes. Tre Lowe is just steady. Doesn't try and do too much. Wilke is a work in progress. Threw a pick in 7 on 7, looks a lot like Tee last season, but with more upside.

3. This will make clawed happy, Cavallo and the other TE had a good day. They are really focusing on getting those guys the ball.

3. Frank Gore Jr. just punished defenders. He Mack Trucked a LB in front of recruits and got a big roar from them.

All-in-all a good day. Offensive line did well, but will get better. More to come from Spring....

Was the Georgia starting QB highly recruited out of Jones JC?

I was wondering since he transferred from Georgia to Jones County JC and then back to Georgia.

Conversation with OC/OL Coach Sam Gregg

Trust me we got into the offensive line, and if the season were to start now, this is how they would line up:

Starter: Backup:
LT Doss Middleton B
LG Scott No backup mentioned
C. Mays Ramsey
RG Bolding No backup mentioned
RT Gainer Jr. McMillan

He does fell, when all is said and done, the strength of this OL will be in the inside 3 positions.

He does feel like they have gotten better since he got on campus. A few notes about that:

- They have got better at pass protection. He acknowledged that they must do a better job and give the QB's time to throw the ball.
- The guys that came from the portal are getting better. There is still a lot of learning going on. They will contribute for sure.

Also talked about G. Scott. He is getting more confident and things are slowing down for him and becoming easier. Has a chance to be a really good football player.

Doss has dropped quite a bit of weight and is better than he has ever been. Moving extremely well at Tackle. Has all the tools, even with weight loss, to be really good. He is eating right and seeing the rewards of weight loss.

There will hopefully be some answers after the scrimmage tomorrow and next week.

Hope this answered some questions for you all.
