For those of you in S. Miss., please consider Steven Palazzo. He and his wife are one of our own.

Yea, but he won't vote for Nancy Pelosi.

We have 2 eagles running in the judge races. Dawn Beam is running for a chancery judge seat. Her husband is long time team dr Steven Beam.

In the seat in forrest and lamar that requires a write in Shela Havard Smallwood is running. She is the daughter of longtime supporter Jimmy Havard.

He is bought and paid for by Insurance companies and corporate interests. IF you saw the debate last Friday night, you clearly saw how unprepared he is for Congress and how clueless he will be when the budget pressures put the jobs at the Shipyard, Camp Shelby, Keesler AFB and Stennis on the chopping block. IF he is so conservative, why does Taylor have the endorsements of the NRA, National Right to Life Foundation, National Federation of Independent Business and the VFW?

Anyone who believes this ends Pelosi's power, is just as clueless about how the rules of Congress work. She will still serve as the ranking member of a powerful committee, probably Ways and Means or Appropriations so that she will have power to hold up in committee tax bills and spending bills until she gets something or stop things completely. Meanwhile, we will be represented by a clueless back bencher with no power who will have to beg for one ship at a time.

He hasn't gotten one single substantive bill out of committee in the Mississippi House of Representative and you think he will be effective in Washington? They will chew him up and spit him out. He will be a pawn for the moneyed interests of Wall Street, Insurance Companies and will be the next one to apologize to BP for dumping millions of barrels of crude oil in the Gulf.

I bet you are watching rachel maddow as you typed.

I'm not going to get in a pissing match with you, but you can forget the ships. It is well known in Washington that Taylor is pushing for an all nuclear navy. Northrup Grummond will be shut down because they can't build nuclear ships. As far as the VFW, they were chastised by the national organization for making that endorsement. At least Palazzo is a vet.

you still haven't answered his ineffectiveness as a State Rep. He won't have Haley to bail him out in Washington.

You are crazy, Byron. He said that thinking those nuclears would be built in MS. Probably misguided, but that was the thought process. That doesn't necessarily mean he's getting my vote, but I do agree with Paul. Taylor is pretty darn conservative. On the other hand, he did vote for Pelosi. Don't know if I agree, though, Paul, about her role after this election.

No matter which side they are on, washington is nothing but a damn snake pit. Taylor has been there too long and has very little power to show for 12 years.

One voted for nancy the other is a usm alum. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Im convinced Maddow is really a 14 year old boy.

Hold on now dude. Me and Rachael have something in common. We both like girls. We both bed with them.

Tomorrow the process of taking our country back from Obama, Reid, Pelosi and their fellow Socialists begins. GodBless America.

I was for Joe Tegerdine from the get-go and tried to promote him here, but was largely hooted down. He was a well-spoken Tea party Conservative that was obligated to no one, but did not have any name recognition or background in-state. He would have been effective in trying to reduce taxes and big govt.

Steven Palazzo has never impressed me, but I was prepared to vote for him because he's the Republican candidate. Now you're saying he's not worth voting for? This REALLY bothers me on election eve...

Know from a personal friend that works with Northrup on a regular basis that they cannot build nuclear ships. They are not setup to.

I just don't trust anyone that is running for government on the platform that government is ineffective, but no matter who wins that election you'll have a conservative representing you.

The biggest stunner in this thread is that so many of you know who Maddow is. I assumed nobody watches MSNBC from looking at their ratings.

Lots to consider on this thread, but nothing here will cause anyone to change their minds. Palazzo is for the insurance companies is code for "the trial lawyers are against him."
Taylor yells " I am a conservative, I voted against the Pelosi agenda, I even voted against Obama" which begs the question if the Dems are so bad and he wants to go to Washington to oppose them , why is he still one?
His career is has been one of bench warmer and underachiever. It is nearly impossible to name one meaningful piece of legislation that shaped or moved the "conservative" agenda forward. So what if he is pro-life, pro-growth,
pro-freedom? He has NO say even in his own party.
Government is horribly ineffective and to argue that it is not is really a young man's argument. I am with Jefferson on this, the government that governs least governs best. We have a constitution, let's try to fulfill it's mandates and leave the social engineering alone.

I'd rather have an ineffective conservative than a destructive democrat.

"R. Madcow is actually Keith Oberman's boyfriend."

Yep, when they watch Deliverance together, it is Keith who does the squealing like a pig. WEEEEE !!!

Allowing incorrect rumors to spread that the state's largest employer may shut down is no small matter.
