Southern Miss returned to the practice field on Tuesday after a long lay off for the Easter Weekend. To open practice Head Coach Todd Monken didn't feel he was getting what he needed from his players or staff so a few minutes in he stopped and started over letting the staff know exactly what level of intensity he was expecting.

- On the offensive line Norman Price continues to impress. He really doesn't look like the same kid that slopped around out there last year for the Eagles. Looks like Devin Farrior will miss the remainder of Spring with a non-injury minor health concern. Jerry Harris stepped into Farrior's spot today and expect that to continue the rest of Spring.

- JUCO defensive backs Deshadrick Turely and Devonte Foster continue to impress. Looks like Picasso Nelson factor in as well maybe in a nickel back roll.

- DJ Thompson made some really nice plays today. Cornell Armstrong didn't take part in full contact drills and this forced Trae Collins to work against the bigger WR a good bit today. Collins is going to be fine but it was apparent that he's been out for the past year.

- A guy that we have not mentioned much and I don't know if he'll play much this year that made some really nice plays today was QB turned WR/TE Kyle Sloter. Sloter is a better athlete than many would give him credit for and he has great hands. Hoping the kid gets a few snaps this coming year to show off his hard work.

- Transfer kicker Nick Vogel was pounding it on kick-offs today. Between him and Brachle I don't think they're going have problems getting kicks into the endzone.

- In a rare appearance IRON-EAGLE was spotted at practice today for the first time in awhile now.

Stay locked for Monken interview and Quick Hits with Nick Mullens and Dylan Bradley.
