This is an open plea to All southern miss fans. Yes i am talking to each and every one of us.
The last three years have stunk. No sport has been immune to it. For every crowning moment we have had awful setbacks. We all know this. We all have pointed fingers.
It is time to stop doing what we do best. That is whine bitch and complain. That is also thinking of any excuse not to support our sports teams.
Baseball will play again sunday. You may hate womens sports. You may hate Joye. No excuse counts tomorrow.
Our girls have a chance to put us on in a positive light. For the second straight year we are in the conf championship, but this year we are not halfway across the globe. We are three hours away from home in Birmingham. Our girls team deserves far better support and respect than they get.
This group of young ladies represent our school, athletic dept and community as well as any group we have had in any sport.
Joye sent out an email this afternoon stating that western ky will have over a thousand here tomorrow. Middle had us outnumbered easily 4 or 5 to one. Even odu and mashall have more people in Birmingham than Southern Miss has this week.
Our girls are trying to get us back where we havent been in over 20 years, Its time to start being Southern Miss again. Get over here!!
