'New Fans'

Unfortunately, USM isn't very popular among teenage kids compared to Ole Miss and State (obviously), but my son told me something earlier that I thought was interesting and pretty funny. My son said out of a high school student body of 400 or so, 9 or 10 are USM fans. He says lots of kids have parents/uncles/gparents that are USM fans, but most kids claim to root for State or OM mostly because it cool. He then told me after Selection Monday, 20 or more of those kids who have relatives that support USM began to act like they had been USM fans since birth, and he said most of them are even coming down to Hattiesburg to see the Eagles play (as USM fans). Winning is everything, and if we keep doing that we will grow our brand, and our fan base will grow. I just thought that was pretty interesting. Thanks for reading
