Great Britain through her is history ranks as one of the greatest countries in in the Chronicles of human endeavor.
Ask why they loot, many rioters proclaim "I have no job".
They have no job ? Well no sh!t Sherlock ! Who would hire a street hooligan ?
Two lessons to be learned.
1) socialism breeds a generation of underachieving ne'er-do wells who can only rely on the government to wipe their noses when they sneeze. Unable to think for themselves, they make bad decisions ( join gangs) and then blame the system for such mis-steps. There are internal and external forces which shape our destiny and those two forces often do affect each other. However in the socialist mind, only external forces determine one's character.
2) control the borders. Multiculturalism is a failure.
Many of Europe's problems revolve around immigrant communities within the the larger cities. England needs to hang on to being England and France needs to promote French culture. Many times immigrants come from the third world and refuse to blend in... to assimilate. Therefore one gets these on-going conflicts between these culturally identifying sub-groups and white cops. The UK's current riot issues were initiated London cops killed a man as part of Operation Trident , which targets gun & drug crime in minority communities.

As Americans, we have much to learn. I should say...we should have learned those lessons in the past. We are already there...I'm afraid.
Today women can get funds for bastard children. There is plenty of free money for college. Those who don't wish to pay rent can get section 8.
Someday, the government might want to take some of this "free money " away. Then all these ne-er-do-wells will take to the streets ?

You are right in that there is a huge lesson to be learned here. Controlled immigration of people from other countries that want to come here and be a part of our country and contribute is a big plus for us. Massive immigration that is uncontrolled of people that basically just want to remain people of their previous country is harmful. You can call me racist, but this is our future if we don't change our immigration policy. The same thing would happen to some other country if hundreds of thousands of US poor flooded another country and they decided they did not want to adopt their new countries ways and stay with their US ties. It does not work. Add to that the socialist policies and you have chaos.

In response to Britain's involvement in the Middle Eastern wars, homegrown terrorist bombed tube stations in London. The thing is, they bombed tube stations in their *own* neighborhoods. How crazy is that ?
They had to walk across town because they blew up their ride ! Some peoples are just too stupid to be immigrants and should be kept out.

Not only that, but England is ahead of the United States in how far their country has bought into socialist policies and vast entitlement and government-run programs. They instilled in their younger generations a feeling of "entitlement." Note the street interviews where so many were saying they felt they were 'owed' what they were stealing.

It could happen here. Whenever this country goes completely bankrupt, it will be forced to cut the entitlement programs no matter how much Obama and other liberals want to keep it going. You'll see gangs of people take to the streets in fits of anger, and feelings of entitlement. They'll shake their fist at us all and say "you owe us."

The biggest difference that I see, is when they try that here they will be met by an armed citizenry. Instead of shopkeepers wielding baseball bats. roving gangs will be met by citizens who have both the means and the will to protect their lives and property.

As I recall, back in the Rodney King riots there were those who sent the thugs more entitlements as an appeasement.
In this week's Time magazine, they correlate street crime with inequality in national income distribution. Time tends to lean toward being a socialist rag so it is no surprise they would attempt to equate misbehavior with "being poor". As if they would eliminate crime by redistributing money !

Nothing racist if you consider allowing immigrants of one country access not allowed to other legal immigrants from other countries is to discriminate against all immigrants attempting to abide by our laws. All we need to do is enforce the laws on the books, and allow states to enforce them as well.

However, none of this will happen because there is no other voting block as potentially powerful as the one all politicians are courting.

Republicans know how this will end. They already don't have the Latin vote, and any support present will be eroded over time. They are just too stupid to enforce the will of their constituency. Democrats on the other hand are playing this perfectly for their long-term benefit, not that of the country. Republicans are stupid, and Democrats are smart. That is, if selling out your country's immigration policies in exchange for votes is smart.

In other words, if you want your country to treat all immigrants equally, and not discriminate against or offer favor to any, both political parties are screwing you over.

No, I don't think anyone anticipates many of today's immigrants to....
1) get jobs
2) pay taxes
3) stay off the dole
4) vote for low taxes
Democrats are largely the party of tax the "rich" and redistribute income to the "poor".

Yep, and they have never understood that you cannot make a poor man rich by trying to make a rich man poor. It's also impossible to create economic growth by attacking, labeling, burdening and overtaxing the industries and companies who provide the jobs.
