Another Southern Miss history question, similar to my 1981 football thread from last week....
1991 was the second time that we ever made regionals. According to Wikipedia, us and Florida State were named co-champs because it rained on the day of the championship (same thing with Tulane/TCU in 2005 CUSA Tourney at PTP). Anyone know which school was appointed the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament from the Metro Conference that year? FSU was the #1 seed but we had the H2H over them in the conference tournament. Just curious if we got in via at-large or auto bid this year. I realize this is pretty obscure, but maybe someone knows the answer?? Thanks.
