Was Paetow injured? Love Faust and senior day and all, but he’s had 5 ABs this year and has only played a few innings in the outfield . Really hesitate to criticize this staff after having such a great season with a heavily retooled team. But just kinda would like to hear an explanation for that head scratcher.

So they built a beautiful baseball stadium and now are building a new football stadium. Must be nice all we get is hopeful renderings.

This is my Spring prediction. Hall has shored up the secondary with some good players. He has also brought in a few OLmen who may be able to block and protect. I believe some of the younger players are getting better. Both coordinators could be the best we have had in a good while. I am not worried about the quarterbacks and running backs. We will be fine there. The key is to get everyone healthy for this Fall.

– Louisiana and Southern Miss finished strong, as the Cajuns won their finale against South Alabama13-3 and the Golden Eagles topped Texas State 5-3. Both teams are locks for at-large bids with RPIs in the mid-30s, occupying the top two spots in the Sun Belt standings.

– James Madison and Troy split a Saturday doubleheader, giving the Dukes the series win on the road. JMU is now clearly ahead of Troy in the pecking order, as the Dukes are No. 45 in the RPI while the Trojans are No. 53, and the Dukes have the head-to-head series win on the road, which offsets Troy’s one-game edge in the standings (18-12 vs. 17-13). The Trojans are in a precarious spot with that RPI coupled with a poor finish to the regular season; they need to win some games in the conference tournament.


– Coastal Carolina did what it needed to do this weekend, completing a road sweep of Marshall with a 9-5 win Saturday. The Chanticleers are still just seventh in the standings, but they are a good bet for an at-large bid with a No. 35 RPI and a 16-14 SBC record.

Such a disappointment last night with that loss. Mazza gonna have to be good on the road and he hasn't been his last 3 or 4 starts.

I thought the offense worked much better with LRLR at top 4 not LLLR. But hey. McIntyre is back.
