What is next for UAB

The attached link (hope it works) is a statement from CUSA on the decision by UAB to drop football. In the article it seems like they are considering an option to keep UAB. I think CUSA should stay an all football school league. Drop UAB and go grab another Sunbelt team.

What is next for UAB? They will probably move on to a better non-football league for their other sports. A-10, Big East? They didn't just decide over night to do this. I have said for years, basketball is the way to make money in this environment. ESPN has made it too difficult for schools not getting 8 digits from football to survive. It doesn't take much to make $$$ from basketball. Put your eggs in the basketball basket. Become a regular at the Dance and the money will flow.
