I know you get an auto' bid to the tourney' if you win the conference tourney'. But are there benefits to winning the regular season? I suppose it counts in the minds of those deciding who goes to the regionals .
They don't call and ask me what I think, but it seems to me it's backwards. However, it is true that the entire season doesn't tell who is playing the best at tourney time. But perhaps neither does the tourney.
