But we are one serious pop from seeing Rodriquez at QB. I could be wrong, but I'm not worried about him. I think he would surprise many. What I am concerned about is who is his back up, and is there real talent there???

Jack is inexperienced, and really small so an injury is very possible....but our coaches recruited a lot of QB's. Experience is the problem which is especially exacerbated at QB, Center, RB, and WR.....young players will really need to step up big time.

You really have to wonder if Griggs could have survived. It seemed like he was made of glass and kept getting hurt. I'm not knocking him for that, just pointing out an observation.

I am worried about Rodriguez. Coach Dawson has said a few times Rodriguez is just not ready mentally to be the starter. I am afraid we only have one capable starting caliber QB left on the team for this season and that is Jack. It would have been nice to have been able to redshirt Tate, but that doesn't appear to be an option now. Hopefully, Griggs can come back at some time this year and backup Jack. What a huge get Jack has been for us now that all of this has happened with Keon and Kwadra. We need to try and get another Juco or possibly a grad transfer to help with the depth this year. Not sure if that is still possible this late in the game or not, but I am sure Shannon is looking if possible.

He’s practicing and good to go. Hopson talked about Whatley in Hearh’s Interview Video today about true freshman having good reps at practice.
