I'm kind of glad, but only hindsight will tell. If they can win tonight, and send FAU home, I think it gives USM a better chance of winning the tournament. It would have been difficult to win two in a row against FAU had they gone to the winner's bracket. If the team can win tonight, I'll give them a chance against the remaining teams in the tournament. With every game being an elimination game for USM, it will be a tough uphill fight.

I've heard where some people say we're a lock for a regional no matter what, but I'm not convinced. If some team other than FAU wins the tournament and receives the automatic invite, I'm not certain we go. About the only good thing that can be said is that if USM does get a regional invite, at least the pitching should be well rested. As the 3rd or 4th seed in any regional, the team we face in the first game will likely be better than anyone faced in the tournament. If the team hits like it did in the tournament, it will be a quick two and out.

I was looking at another website and found the following quote:
