We Won a Basketball Game!

We won a basketball game! An overtime win against Crap-USA opponent North Texas. Cut down the nets when the team gets back into Hattiesburg. It's the first conference win and first win since mid-December.

Nobody said we won the NCAA Tournament. The point is the kids and I stress kids have had a lot heaped on them as of late. They have fought hard given the circumstances that have had to deal with. They have had a couple of games get away that they might have won. Still they are fighting.

We should save the venom for the administration and athletic department for putting them in the current situation.

Oh I understand. It's just that some people are acting like we won the NCAA Tournament. We won a game against a slightly more awful team. Wins against teams bad teams used to be excepted.

So The F' What you AHole ! The KIDS won. Why not just congratulate them. Do you know how difficult it must be to compete week in and week out with low morale ,not winning , low count roster etc.. and to hang in there and win. Can you just be happy at HOW HAPPY THOSE KIDS MUST HAVE BEEN to taste victory after so long. Support YOUR team if indeed they really are your team.....I can't believe you actually "got upset" because people are VERY HAPPY about this win with statements like "acting like we won the NCAA...." That's exaggerated among other things...Disgusting smh

Maybe I'm too old school. Maybe I expected too much from USM athletics. Maybe the best days at USM are behind us and this is what we should celebrate.
