UNT noise level....

Does the TV network mic the crowd noise because the UNT crowd sounds really loud. I once saw a tv special for instance that says that a microphone is placed underneath the mat of the wrestling arena for sound effect..

The UNT crowd was noisy but the super loud noise on our third downs was canned music they played over the PA system. The canned music was extremely proud and most annoying. So the noise you heard was more in likely canned. When the ball was placed the noise continued until we went to line and was stopped so the team could hear the qb calls.
