Sure. And it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all. There's no question that the rise of programs like UAB, Troy, USA, FIU, FAU, USL, La Tech, etc have hurt our recruiting. There was a period when I think we were as close to being Alabama's "third school" as any program could be. Of course I would prefer to simply out-recruit them, but to see a little competition fall off the map - well, I'm okay with that, too.

Interesting. I don't see how they've been around this long. Their 2 dozen fans will be upset. I know Southern Miss fans talking attendance smack but really talking about no interest in the football program. I can respect Troy, even South Alabama because they have fans in the stands. If there was more fan interest , then we wouldn't be having this discussion.
