thanks for helping me make what I thought would be a tough decision fairly easily. On deciding not to return to this board after tonight, I'll say this. Anyone who believes Monken deserves to be on the hot seat after what he has accomplished (digging us out of our self-made grave), is a narcissistic ahole. i bet you just love to hear the sound of your own voice. If you can't see improvement, then you have a secret axe to grind with someone. But again, thanks for making my decision an easy one. Go Eagles....TTT!!

Monken has shown patience and I appreciate all he has done. It is like he said, "No one is going to help us out of this grave." He knew it would be up to he and his coaching staff to build this program back. Man we played a good Nebraska team. Very glad we got all the junior college transfers it shows. I hope they continue to add depth in all positions and get our guys healthy.

I think you may be over-reacting a bit. I only recall one poster on this board making a direct post calling for Monken to be on the hot seat. All the other posts are those made during the heat of the game discussing the pros and cons of what we are seeing on the field. I think the majority of the post-game messages have been very positive about the future of Southern Miss football.

You know as well as I do that curiosity will get the best of him and he will stop by for a peak at the responses to his post. He may not respond to the posts to give the illusion that he has left for good, but he will want to see the reaction.

I really am not sure wtf some of you guys are smoking and this is mainly directed at the OP. I honestly haven't seen much, if any, negative discussion on this board about our loss after it happened. There was some discussion during the game questioning some calls, etc., but for the most part I think the Eagle nation is behind this team. In fact, it seems like what I've read people are actually encouraged by the signs of life the program is showing. There's only 1 thing worse than being upset and pissed, and that is apathy, so, to me, it's good to see people actually care again...

Oh, and btw to the OP, there was a publication out there before the season started that had Monken rated to be on the 10th hottest coaching seat in America so it's not just some deluded Eagle fans who were thinking that. (No, I'm not one of them.)
