1. A win is a win. They are hard to come by and we have not had 4 of them in a season in quite some time.
2. Offense is bad, but they show flashes. Too many mistakes by young guys who are gaining experience.
3. Gore Jr and Dean are a very, very good one-two punch. Pittman is finally starting to round into form.
4. Mims is fun to watch. He is undersized but explosive. Reminds me of a young Gideon, but a few inches shorter.
5. Wilcke has to get better. I think he will but it's a process. Good thing is they are winning while the process is happening.
6. Defense was nasty. -6 yards rushing and -0.3 yards per carry is ridiculous to a team averaging 35 points at home. They give up the big play on occasion and that has to stop. However, even with the big play they did their job and if that was a loss, that one wouldn't have been on them.
7. Special teams was solid. Briggs with a 40 yard FG into the wind and Hunt may have saved the game with that scramble and 52 yard punt.
8. Offensive Line is just bad. Maybe a few guys from the portal and Hall must get a portal QB. There is a collective starting so hopefully that helps land one.
7. No excuse for at least having 28,000 at The Rock Thursday night. This team has done their job, they are winning. It is time for the fans to do their's as well. It needs to be an overwhelming home field advantage for USM.
