I hate the scumbag. I have wanted to see him go down, and I got my wish.
So how do I feel?
Worse than before. I can't even gloat, or feel justified.
Why?
This man was so centered on fame / money, that he threw away a talent that very few possess.
If he had just slowed down, and not twisted the rules, he could and would have still won big here, the right way.
It would have taken a bit longer. He wouldn't have gotten to his big jackpot payday as quickly.
But if he had said, "I'm going to do right by Southern Miss, and take this program to elite status; then when
I can leave it much better than I found it, I will move on if the right offer comes along.", then he would have
probably cemented himself as one of the top coaches in the country, and we would have forever reaped the
benefits, like Boise in football, etc.
But he had a mission.
Mission FAILED, chief.
