It is always good to get the first win of the season. However, there are some things to discuss.
1. Defense was outstanding. When you play a SWAC school, that is what a good defense does. It is supposed to shut them down. They did at every level.
2. Yes Ty Keyes came in and the offense scored 27 points. It can't be left out he was 4-11 50 yards and a TD. That will not get it done next week. Troy held Liberty to 21 points. They will have a week to prepare. Credit to Keyes moving the ball. The offense only ran about 10 different plays in the 2nd half (a lot of window dressing and formations, but same blocking and running schemes). That will have to change and it should with a week to prepare.
3. Eagles have found a punter!! That kid has a booming leg.
4. That snap needs to change. It got better as the game went on, but it really slows things down and kills the flow and timing of the play.
