1. Eagles will be very good on the mound this year. Shepard did not have a great outing in game 2, but he has not had much work and that is to be expected. Add Walker to the rotation and once Sheoard gets fully back and he is the 4th starter, that is as good of a starting 4 as you will see in college baseball.
2. Eagle pitching struck out 45 batters. Even with the loss, those are eye popping numbers.
3. Eagles were much better at the plate in game 2. Hopefully game 1 was just a single bad game.
4. Defense was much better to start this season. Dickerson is smooth at 1st base and Trimble has a cannon on CF.
