The effort was better. The team played harder than they have all season.
Gibbs made long FG but was flat on a PAT that really set USM back.
Negatives:
This is a team that has no idea what winning football or how to play winning football. Too many stupid, self inflicted, penalties. Some coaching decisions are dumb. You never try for a punt block with less than 5 yards to go when you have a team.backed up. Call a TO when your QB is injured to set things up inside the 5 so you don't have Tate rushed and he fumbles a hand-off.
The Elosss Johnson team would beat this group by 3 TD. Worst USM team perhaps ever. What is sad, it is by far not one of the least talented teams USM has had. It is the worst coached, worst prepared, and worst disciplined team ever. These things are on coaches.
