No Mississippi school has a national championship in men's sports(football, basketball, baseball) or women's sports(basketball, softball, ??). I know that State's famous 1985 team baseball didn't and their team a few years ago got shutdown by UCLA. State's women's basketball also TTTd it this year and last. Don't let the OM old timers say that they won the football NC in 1960/1962 either because Minnesota won in 1960 and USC in 1962. Of course in 2009 our pitchers forgot how to throw strikes against the real UT. I will always argue that the 2003 team was the best that couldn't handle a future pitcher for the ChiSox. I digress...
