The Rock at USM or The Rock at App State,

Which came first, so to speak the chicken or the egg. I was curious so I looked it up. App State stadium was built in 1962.USM's stadium was built and opened in Oct,1932 with wooden bleachers that held 4,000 cap.It was called Faulkner Field because L E Faulkner financed the project.In 1938 permeant concrete stands were built using football players help hauling concrete blocks and concrete , it was during this time it got the name The Rock because of the football players hauling the concrete blocks and concrete . So the real rock and the first was Southern Miss's. App State thinks theirs was the first but not so.
