Starting to hear that Hopson is the coach, we shall see.

I like him personally, he has decent resume' here, Marshall, Ole Miss, and Michigan but distinguished himself NO where except Alcorn. Of course, depending on how you spin it, ASU could be the most impressive. I'll support him, cheer for him but .......this has been a long week for such a weak hire. He will be a cheap date, keep the staff that is willing to stay, and he has a compelling personal story surviving cancer.

IF IT'S HIM SCOTT, I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HIM. I JUST REMEMBER I DID NOT LIKE HIS OFFENSE WHILE AT SOUTHERN MISS.

AND WHY, OH WHY WOULD YOU NOT HIRE DUGGAN???

I am not happy with Hopson if thats who it is. Dont understand why D Meacham not in the running. Is it $$$ or staff issues. I just feel a repeat of 2012.

Hopson was DB coach, and then returned as DC. It does feel like 2012. I think a positive, and there aren't many as first glance, but if there is a positive is that he is of a whole different generation than was Ellis. Plus EJ's first staff was disastrous bringing in an option coach to be OC, then that poor slub (Ricky Bustle) falling into his abyss, and being replace as OC by a high school coach at the last minute. Certainly lightening wouldn't strike twice, would it???

Hopson is going to win big here and will be a great hire. Especially if he keeps the nucleus of the current staff.
