This will be the best team USM has ever played in a bowl game. CSU, UL, Texas Western, NCState, Pitt, cannot compare with FSU. This will be our best shot at beating them without Favre.
Correction: This will be the biggest NAME OPPONENT Southern Miss has played in a bowl game, not the best team we will have played. Far from it. Colorado State in the late 1990's was legit. While good, this FSU team is weak compared to FSU standards. Even Seminole fans would agree. This is not a slam on FSU, as the Eagles will have to play their best game of the season to beat them.
This FSU team started off rough but is turning it around. This is the time to beat them as.opposed to a few years ago I am guessing our admin had nothing to do with this game? After the 2011 championship, I lost all confidence. Maybe there is hope yet. This will still be in my opinion our toughest game of the year.
I hope our admin makes the most out of this HUGE opportunity. A lot of things had to happen for this to occur. If we win, there may be more opportunities for neutral field big name games.
