The reason why USM is repeatedly left behind in conference realignment is very simple: the university administration does not want it to happen. They have never even spoken a desire for such to happen. My time at USM was very valueable and benefitted my family, but I had false hopes that USM would better off by now, but it is quite clear that that will not happen.
