I wore two different Astros shorts two days in a row. It was a sign. I waiting fir answer like owning a rooster than normally crows three times in the morning but yesterday only crowed twice...it was a sign

When I saw our guys with smiles on their faces after Saturday night, I knew we were going to play hard. Saturday was a SCHOCK!!! It was enough to cause people to focus, enough to snap people out of hitting slumps, pitching slumps and the like. It took people's minds off themselves, and put us into survival mode. It made us remember how much we care.

The loser's bracket usually spells doom for the team in question. I'm not sure if USM baseball has ever come out of a loser's bracket to win(not just to get the final game). Until this year, I would argue the 2003 team was the best USM baseball team ever(2 players with 23 homeruns). That team was seeded #2 in their own regional meaning they had to face the best SWAC team in history with #3 seed Southern University and future Chicago White Sox pitcher Dewon Day and Milwaukee Brewers Rickie Weeks knocked USM into the loser's bracket and they never recovered. The 2009 team got hot at just the right time and with a little more pitching could have been national champions.

This team recovered and had to climb Mount LSU to win...and they did.
