Eustacy left on his own terms with a much better financial deal at Colorado State. He did a hell of a job getting us to the NCAA and hard nosed competitive teams! Nobody to blame on this on either party.
Indeed he did. It is just frustrating that the basketball program continues to have play in that RGC that is wasting away. I read somewhere that ULL is renovating their coliseum, so if they can so can USM. Maybe since Dupree is no longer mayor, Hattiesburg will team up with USM to improve RGC. You know the one time I actually saw Giannini get upset over anything was when Dupree and the jailbird defeated the football bond issue in 2004. Meanwhile the basketball program has more or less languished over the years.
Tyndall killed any momentum, and I don't see the basketball program making any dramatic improvements for at least another year or two. The good news is that the school revenue is up slightly. I hope it continues.
