Post MNF Cleveland sports article on QB situation...

I hope they start Austin too. But many of the comments beneath that story make good points. Specifically, if he's so good, why could he not even make the back up roster at the Rams? Good honest question for those Brown fans who'd never seen him play or heard of him before. Regardless, I hope he starts and does well.

I bet some of the folks in Green Bay asked the same kinda questions about the kid they got in a trade from Atlanta 20+ years ago. Of course, they're not the same kind of players, but I still believe AD is untapped potential.

Well said Redshirt ...... 4 million is a lot of money for not one once of talent ...... They see something in him !!!!!

Favre came in after an injury to the starting QB and WON the game in his second year (1st in Green Bay) I believe. Austin is in his fourth/fifth year? I think Austin is good and underrated but comparing him to Favre is a stretch. Having said that, I honestly believed when the Rams cut him, he was DONE forever. So it's nice to see him get a second chance. I hope he proves everyone wrong. I also hope he gets the start but NOBODY in Cleveland wants to see that. Most of the fans want Johnny Football. So it's going to be hard for the coach (who the fans are tired of) to not give the fans what they want.
Here's a good FOX poll though, read the comparisons, it's gets funny at the end!!!!!

I would like to see what Austin could do with a good coaching staff, a good offensive line, and some weapons on offense. So far, he's only gotten shots with the dregs of the NFL. The Rams and the Browns make even successful quarterbacks look pretty bad, and get the crap beaten out of them.
