Eagles leading a pitchers duel, 1-0 through 4 innings. Chase Scott reached on an error to lead off the second and scored on a Storme Cooper two out rbi single. Cord Cockrell has allowed 2 hits and struck out 7 so far.

Cooper and Dawson with back to back singles to start the 5th, but Burdeaux grounds into a double play and then Cooper gets picked off third to end the inning.

Cockrell gets an inning ending double play to work out of a jam in the 6th. Error on Lynch followed by an infield single and a fly out had runners on first and third with one out.

Hadley and Lynch with back to back singles leading off the bottom of the 6th. Pitching change coming for the Spartans.

Troy beat Auburn 4-3 in 11 innings last night in game two of the tournament

Michigan State shutout Troy 3-0 in the early game Sunday. Impressive pitching with back to back shutouts after we beat them 2-0 Friday.

That win over Michigan State is looking even better. They just pitched their third straight shutout, a 15-0 pounding of Illinois State, to improve to 9-1.
