Jones would stand under the goalpost to swat long field goals...someone on here said that Fred Cook could vault over a VW Bug...

Dave, I may be totally wrong on this, but I thought I heard the announcers the night Collins jumped over the line that it is a penalty if you touch the other player on the jump. So, if Collins had hit a player with his feet he would have been penalized. But he totally jumped clear over them. Now I could be wrong but I remember the announcers discussing that.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know about the play until you mentioned it here. I can't recall ever seeing a player block a kick by leaping completely over the offensive line and staying upright. For those who didn't see it here's a link:
