Snap counts are communicated by sounds, prescribed timing patterns and other signals. All of these start with the coach and move through the signal caller (QB.). For offense, it is more complex than seeing the ball move at snap.
I have been rough on the o-line.
I have wondered how difficult matching the snap count from 9 different signal callers must be.
Out-of-synch is BAD.
Move too fast, penalty
Move too slow tackle for loss (sacks)
Uncertainty leads to major advantage for the D-line and blitzing players.
Are we vastly underestimating how difficult the o-line has had it this year?
