It's stupid. That's why you have bylaws. So that when an issue arises, you deal with it as prescribed in the bylaws. The bylaws were agreed upon/accepted by the member universities. That's how you maintain fairness and adherence to standards among ALL members.

At C-USA,however, you adopt the bylaws. When a serious issue arises, you have a series of meetings to discuss whether or not to amend the bylaws to accommodate one member. Silly.

Cut bait and move on.

Probably just letting them finish basketball season to squeeze out any money they may get, and giving themselves more time to figure out their replacement.
