as good as our ranking. I am puzzled who these poll voters are that kept us in the top
15 all year, even as we were exposed by every team that had a pulse. Clearly we were better last year because we had pitching. Sadly, two of the best players ever to suit up at USM will be gone, and looking up and down the roster I don't know who takes their place. I don't mind losing as much as I hate the way we lost and how we don't have anyone outside of Wallner that gives me much hope for next year.
We return 2 starters that could develop. We return no relievers, Wallner's hip injury precludes me from counting him, and unless Colt Smith returns from injury with better stuff we will be a staff without a stopper.
Offensively I wonder who will hit behind Wallner. My hope is the recruits will be ready to go day one. That is asking a lot from a bunch of 18 year olds. On other hand, I typically drink a good bit of kool aid and hopes springs eternal.
