Let me know if I missed anyone. Its not always easy to find what happened to folks that transferred particularly if they did not letter at USM. USM does not do a good job of keeping track of even former letter-winners whereabouts.

When Wallner his his first career home run in today MLB game, be became the 9th former Golden Eagle to hit a major league home run. Here are the career totals for all the former USM players that hit an MLB home run; in order of who hit the most:
  1. Brian Dozier: 192
  2. Kevin Young: 144*
  3. Jim Davenport: 77
  4. Bubba Phillips: 62
  5. Bill Selby: 11
  6. Four players tied with one: Frank Baker, Pat Rapp (the pitcher!), Chuckie Robinson, Matt Wallner: 1
* - "Steroid era". Young was found to have used performance enhancing drugs.
