That kind of surprises me considering how new UTSA is to FBS football. It could be argued that they overachieved during their first two years. I imagine it was the hiring of Larry Coker several years ago that brought in some decent players that otherwise wouldn't have bothered playing for UTSA. It will be interesting to see if they hire somebody better than Coker to basically start the program all over again. Like you said, his departure will probably hurt this year's recruiting class.

Agree. Hope they get someone good for the long term there. that program has huge potential.

He had a hip replaced after the season ended. I bet that had something to do with his retirement.
