Lack of Talent

There are lots of reasons for the demise of the USM program (i.e., bad hires, poor leadership, conference troubles, SEC money, etc.), but one of them is the lack of talent/inability to recruit. Just compare number of players in the NFL in 2005 with 2014. We used to compete with Ole Miss and State for recruits, now they get all the top talent and we compete with Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee, and Troy for recruits.
