1. He is very happy about what he has seen from the members of the team that were able to show up for the first few weeks. They are off a few weeks now and players have went back home.
2. Jaron Pierre has the opportunity to be one of the best players ever in the Southern Miss program. He is young, but if he stays for 4 years, Jay believes he is special.
3. Tae Hardy is a true leader on and off the court. As a point guard he is smart, can score, and doesn't have a selfish bone in his body.
4. He believes this team is deeper and more talented than last year.
5. Recruiting is tough right now because of Covid, but they are fixing to hit that hard.
6. Javarzia Belton is a freak of nature. When he had to go to the Duff to do his physical, the football coaches were amazed at how big and athletic he was and was wanting him to consider football. He is a raw talent and will need a Redshirt year. But at 3% body fat at 6'10 275lbs, he is a big, strong young man.
7. Everyone, even the 2 from Russia, will be here in a few weeks. All players will be reporting.
