It was nice to beat a terrible team easily for the first time in 4 seasons!

I think this Texas State game will go a long way to telling us where we are as a program.
One thing is who the heck are they? Well Dennis Francione is the head coach, and I have wanted to
beat him back going back to his TCU days. And John Thompson, our old DC form our glory days with Bower
is their DC. JT has been everywhere since he was here. His defenses are weak against smash mouth
football but they are extremely complex/gimmicky against the pass. I remember him blitzing a safety and dropping a tackle back to defend the pass, that kind of thing. I am sure TSU, or whatever they are called, will be highly motivated.

I was concerned after our slow start but then we woke and and didn't look back. I hope we beat Texas State like a drum.

My feeling is that this one is going to be very, very close.....we are going to find out if our QB can win a game for us....I have the utmost confidence in our D-Line, and I hope that TSU throwS at Kalen Reed....these guys get kids from Texas that want to stay close to home but the Big 12 did not want....similar to us in our hayday, maybe to a lesser degree....their stadium is similar to ours (I think)....it's the stadium that was used as the set on the series Friday Night Lights when Coach Taylor briefly took a College job at "Texas Methodist".....I have no idea what they draw for a home crowd, but I suspect it's better than our Texas Conference Brotheren IN CUSA...I still scratch my head over UNT being in Denton and selling 5,000 season tickets .....we need this one

Need to break this one open early. Make them try to play catch up. Keep our confidence level rising. If our offense can continue to improve I think this one will be comfortably ours. A big IF I know. Thinking the defense will be fine.

I am curious to see our Defense against this QB, he is very good and can run. Their defense is no where near ours so we should be able to score but we do not want to get in a shootout with them. Texas State can score quick and often so defense is key for us to get the win.
