This was a first class event all the way around. Thanks to everyone who organized it and the sponsors! I had never been to the Country Club of Jackson before and I was impressed with it. The event was well attended. I heard there were 250 signups. The entire football coaching staff attended and a lot of the athletic department. I had watched a Will Hall speech previously on youtube so I had an idea of what he was going to say. I was very impressed with the presentation he put on.
I didn't know much about Will Hall before he was hired as Southern Miss's football coach. When his name came up I realized he was the OC at Tulane and I knew they had dominated us twice in a year's time. I have liked the things he has done since he took over as coach. He obviously has learned from being a head coach and watching the other coaches he has worked with. He has a well thought out plan for everything including the uniforms. I don't know how many wins this team will have this season but I think they will be well prepared and play hard. I think we have the right coach now. I will support the team as best I can. I'm glad to see ticket sales are going well.
For those that say that we should pump the brakes, I understand. the last couple of years have been rough. But try to find some optimism.
