He is a turnover machine. Am I saying that Griggs is the man? Not exactly. We don’t really have a superstar QB. But I think it’s time to try Griggs instead of Abraham. He throws it to the wrong team too much.

Jack is nowhere close to the QB that Griggs is. He has a JUCO arm at best. Cant throw down field at all. Thats why they have to rely on the shovels, screens, 2 yard slants. The opponents see this. The offense is handcuffed when Jack is playing QB. This is looking like more Daddy Ball from Hopson. Freaking absolutely pathetic! Hop should be FIRED if he starts that kid again over Griggs.
I agree. He has no arm past ten yards. It really limits out game. I think that with our record, the coaches should realize that a change is needed.
Oh, definitely. We need O line help for sure and the running game is very weak, possibly because of the line. The O line to me is our worst area. However, I still don’t think Abraham has the arm strength.
I agree. If we had a run game everything would work. Jack is going to throw some ints. Teams know we have to throw every down. Jack is a much better qb than Griggs. The offensive line is also not very good. Too bad we didn't have ITO for one more year.
All Southern Miss QBs combined in 2018 so far have thrown 11 interceptions in 229 attempts. That is one interception for every 20.81 pass attempts. The QB with the most passing attempts is Abraham with 9 interceptions in 214 pass attempts. That is one interception for every 23.77 pass attempts.
Compare with 2017 when all Southern Miss QBs combined threw 7 interceptions in 439 attempts. That is one interception for every 62.71 pass attempts. The QB with the most passing attempts in 2017 was Griggs with 2 interceptions in 265 pass attempts. That is one interception for every 132.5 pass attempts.
Southern Miss had a better running game in 2017 than 2018 and the offensive line was better in 2017 than 2018 but the fact that so far in 2018 is Southern Miss QBs are throwing interceptions at 3 times the rate of 2017.
